Yay, I got a free lunch treat today from another friend, X. But I shall not talk about free lunch treats and all that crap again, I realized that its really stupid. Thats why, I think I will do something random again.
Ok, here goes. Normally, I don’t like things which have to do with horror or thrillers but being so bored, I started watching Higurashi no naku koro ni……. kai. That might have seemed dumb, to watch the second season of an anime without watching the first but fortunately, I stopped at episode 1 so no harm done.

And so, I went on to season one episode one after that. First 5 seconds, someone got killed. (=__=||) My first instinct was to stop watching this anime. However, being so dam bored, I continued watching.

At episode 4, the main character dies. So what now? Episode 5, deja vu. Or rather, Da capo. Everything start all over again. It seems like a flashback but at episode 8, everyone dies again. =_________=

Right now, I have only watched to episode 14. I am slow so forgive me if all this is not new anymore. Anyway, its animes like this which give makes them special. So special that Furude Rika won Saimoe this year. Bleah.
She is Furude Rika. Just a little fanservice and she won Saimoe… What has the world come to?
Anyway enough of the jokes. Higurashi no naku koro ni is not scary at all. Don’t believe me? Watch this video which I found randomly on youtube.

that videos hilarious. Higurashi series 1 was fantastic, disturbing, dark, not scary but fairly creepy. Higurashi 2’s first episode was so – goddamn – boring. But after that it moves onto the solutions for the first series’ arcs, so we see what’s going on with Rika because her story wasn’t explained much. It’s fairly good but the only gore so far that I’ve seen (I’m on episode 12) is from flashbacks.

Higurashi series one was dam scary to me. I never really liked horror or thrillers but Higurashi gave me a new perception of what horror is like.
Higurashi series two, on the other hand, is extremely epic. After watching it, everything from the first series will make sense but depending on whether you like the storyline, you might think that it has a crappy ending just like my friend did. As for me I really liked the series and hope that there will be a third season.

i watched both seasons. ur right that it seems weird in the beginning, but if u keep watching it u will understand more the further u come ^^
in second season u will understand everything 100%
it sactually a rly good anime if u give it a chance xD

Yeah, I agree. I heard that there would be a third season following the game : Higurashi no naku koro ni Rei but I am not sure whether its true. I also heard that there is a Umineko no naku koro ni but I don’t know what is it about.

Higurashi wasn’t scary to me at all, I felt sorry for some of the charaters in the situation in which they die… take Satoko Houjou for instince… Hung to a crusifix and stabbed to death, what a horrible way to die….

higurashi is not scary but its gory. in season one it all started with rena and shion not getting the doll that keichii was suppose to get something like that. im on episode 15 on season one. I love the opening song on the first season know it by heart.

I loved the anime. It was crazy. I stumbled upon it and based off the characters, I thought “Hey, brightly colored characters, cute girls, and sailor fuku. Must be one of those happy fun time anime!”… And then I found a clip of Rika stabbing herself in the head with a butcher knife repeatedly. O_O Okay… Not happy fun time, but definately cool! I’ve seen all of both seasons, and two episodes of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei.
