Oh Yes, Back in action

Today I did not go for the Cosfest as it was raining. Well, its a white lie. Actually I felt that today was a bad day to go, I just had that sort of feeling. So, I headed down to Kinokuniya at Orchard as it was the second last day for the 20% discount. T_T

No, I did not get Megami from Kinokuniya

I got my Megami on Tuesday. Anyway, while I was at Kinokuniya, I headed to the magazine section which still had the same magazines as the previous time so I went to the Manga (Japanese) section and was looking for books when someone appeared behind me. Fearing that I was blocking his way, I stood up and took a step back. That, was when I realized it was DM, or at least I thought he was. DM, who should be at Cosfest, was in Kinokuniya? I might have mistaken him but there was some resemblance… Maybe it really wasn’t him. Anyway “DM” picked up a book from the Manga shelf and left, with his friend. (I seriously think its him) Being a DM fanboy, I was rooted to the spot, stunned by his presence but I soon recovered after he left. T_T

Anyway, I headed on to grab a couple of books, or rather manga (Chinese) and went off as I was meeting my secondary school friends to watch HanCock. Before I continue about the movie, here is my short receipt. This post reminded me of a post DM had about a receipt, but I am certainly not trying to compete with him or anything. I just thought it was fun to look at the cashier’s face when I brought my basket in front of her and she stared into the contents.

Yay, $22.84 discount

On to Hancock. After reading TJ han’s review of Hancock, I was actually in doubt of whether I should go and watch the movie or not. (Irake was put off by TJ han’s comments and decided not to watch it) In the end, I decided that I should just go catch a movie as I had not seen one ever since the Rebuild of Evagelion. In the end, it did not disappoint me. I thought that it was fairly ok… Perhaps my standards for movies are very low, or maybe I haven’t been watching movies lately so I do not know how others think. Anyway I would recommend it for people who need a good laugh, as it did for me, though I laugh at almost anything.

Oh and before I forget, We had not booked tickets in advance so we got first-class seats in the theatre. Which was the first row… While my friends had stiff necks after the movie, I had a stiff leg despite being able to stretch my legs to the fullest in front of me. Lesson learned today : Firstly, get someone to book tickets before they are sold out. Secondly, do NOT call a male superhero an asshole. Thirdly, do NOT call a female superhero crazy. You might not live to regret it, if you DO see a superhero one of these days.

Tilt your head sideways to the left

Altogether, I have 18 books. It was a literal pain and metaphorical pain to me. The metaphorical pain, which regular visitors to my blog should know by now, refers to the pain in my wallet (Financially). However, this time I had a literal pain. This is due to the fact that I had to carry this 18 books from Kinokuniya (Orchard), to Marina Square (City Hall) and at Marina Square, I had to carry my bag around at all times (While buying food for dinner, while queueing up for tickets at the ticketing booth and stuff like that.) Eventually I was literally dragging myself back home as the books really weight me down. I think I need more exercise if not I might get screwed by MCDNLD. Quoted and paraphrased from Hancock.

Individually, I only collected 8 different series of manga

I left book 8 for After school nightmare before I complete it. The rest are still ongoing. Ouch. By the way the book on the top left corner is Kanokon if it isn’t clear. It wasn’t to me in the beginning, or rather, when I first saw it. But after watching the first episode of Kanokon and going to Kinokuniya again, I thought I should just buy and check it out. Anyway its already past midnight, though its not time for me to sleep yet, I still have some work to do and will probably be putting up another post tomorrow today in about 20 hours time.
