I should be doing a Hong Kong day two post but instead, I would like to side-track a little today. I just came back from Bottle Tree Park, somewhere around Yishun. People who are familiar with that area can probably turn a blind eye already because from what I see, there’s is only two things to do there. Engage in fishing or a paintball (It seriously felt like painball) fight.

Rural area

TIGER!!! Luckily its not looking this way

Those who are interested in paintball, remember the website

Our equipment for the game
The markers, which are the pellet-shooting things (The martial explained that they do not call these guns simply because they don’t want teens to go home and say “Mother, I shot my friend today.” Oh and the minimum age required to play is 14, so little kiddies would not get hurt and cry =D) are seriously dam scary. The sound when they fire and the safety measures placed upon these things already prove how dangerous these things can be if placed in the wrong hands. Though, I seriously doubt that anyone in their right mind would use it for anything other than fun.

I was in the blue team, and at a numerical disadvantage
Helmets are a must in during the game because if any of the pellets hit you in the face…. Lets just say you are a goner. I remember the pellets are said to fly at 2 metres a second, slow if you compare it to an Olympic runner’s speed which is 10 metres a second but still, it hurts like hell. I got hit on my chest and my right arm. My right arm bled a little and both areas which were hit are swollen now. T_T
People below 17 years of age also requires parental consent.

I just signed up and posted =D

The expert field, from what I heard

Our field, for beginners T_T

Seems that there is a competition coming up, I might go and take a look
On a second thought… I live in the East side and the Red Dynasty is in the West… I like to travel but my patience extent to overseas travel… I don’t know, maybe if I do well for my promotional exams I would go and watch but for now I will put it on hold.

Only 9 people played, another two just took pictures and left
The organiser for today’s event is the guy currently being targetted by everyone. Poor guy =) But he was really nice to have invited us to join in and have fun and I thank him for this opportunity to play a new activity. Before this I didn’t even knew that such a thing existed in Singapore. This shall be another stepping stone for me to get out of my chair and go out to explore things which exist but I never knew of.
By the way, the lady in green got the least “injuries” and paint, we know who to target next time. And I think I didn’t even manage to score a single hit! How noob is that? 250 pellets, zero hit… Thats a new record after my 100 basketball shoots and none going into the net. Anyway, I think the Hong Kong day two post should be held back by a day, I would probably do it tomorrow but my schedule seems to get the better of me. (early lunch, Project work in the afternoon, Code geass, other animes to catch up…) I guess I will have to try my best tomorrow then.
